3D printing reliable anatomical replicas requires predicting the stress and strain states of the replica when it is subjected to mechanical stress, for instance, during surgery simulation. Standard Digital Volume Correlation (DVC) approaches do not offer sufficient temporal resolution to identify the 3D kinematics of the model, as they require full 3D images that are only available before and after surgery. The recent Projection-based Digital Volume Correlation (P-DVC) approach allows exploiting the 2D projections acquired during surgery to reconstruct 3D kinematics, enriching temporal resolution. This study examines P-DVC in the applicative context of EndoVascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) surgery to obtain the aorta kinematics.
