SMEMAG - Mechanical and energy sciences, materials and geosciences
The ambition of the SMEMaG doctoral school (ED 579) is to support, within the framework of the training of their doctoral students, the research teams and units of the future University of Paris-Saclay (UPSaclay) which are committed to pushing back the frontiers of knowledge in the field of Mechanical and Energy Sciences, Materials Sciences and Geosciences.
It is positioned around research teams whose approach is based on a permanent exchange between modelling, numerical simulation, experimentation, design and optimisation of systems in an industrial, environmental and societal context where many challenges are to be taken up both at the fundamental level and from the application point of view.
The doctoral projects of the SMEMaG ED aim to respond to the challenges of society, particularly in the areas of energy, the terrestrial and planetary environment, transport, biotechnologies and nanotechnology.
