Jean-Hubert SCHMITT, winner of the 2021 SF2M Grand Medal

Congratulations to Jean-Hubert SCHMITT, Professor Emeritus, winner of the 2021 La Grande Médaille de la SF2M.

The SF2M prize is awarded each year, as a crowning achievement, to a personality who has accomplished a work judged of primary importance in the field of Metallurgy or Materials.

The medal was presented by the President of the SF2M during an exceptional day at the Maison de la Chimie where the White Paper on materials published by the SF2M was also presented. On this occasion, Jean-Hubert SCHMITT presented a conference on the circular economy of steels and the impact on their properties.
