Adaptive control of numerical simulations
- guaranteed and accurate global/local error estimators
- techniques for constructing balanced fields
- non-intrusive approaches to error estimation
- various applications (multiscale, XFEM, transient/vibrational dynamics, iso-geometric analysis, viscoplasticity, etc.)
Model reduction and model error control
- multi-scale couplings (atomic/continuous, heterogeneous/homogeneous, deterministic/stochastic, transport/diffusion, etc.)
- reduced bases and separation of variables (POD, PGD) for parameterised problems
- control and adaptation of reduced models with respect to quantities of interest

- inverse problems (error in modified behavioural relationships, Bayesian inference)
