The strut-and-tie method is the recommended design method for massive structures or D-zone in codes and standards. The application of the method is usually done by hand by the designer.It is the subject of load history that is the focus of the work presented in this manuscript. In order to study this topic in detail, an experimental approach was undertaken and a structure traditionally designed using the push-pull method was chosen: a corbel.The objectives of the thesis are to determine the influence of different combinations of actions related to their loading history and associated cracking on the strut-and-tie models, and to have a basis of experimental validation to benchmark the automatic push-pull lattice generation methods.The first step consists in defining the state of the art on the design by the Strut-and-tie method. Then the experimental protocol is described. Then, the tests are analysed. Comparison between the different tests is possible and represents the heart of the last chapter. The different test sequences, especially on the load history, are developed. A discussion in the direction of the equivalent tie-rod lattice is initiated and the main conclusions in relation to the experimental campaign are detailed.
