Caractérisation expérimentale des jonctions composites thermoplastiques surmoulées fibres courtes sur fibres longues

CETIM has proposed a novel composite manufacturing process called Quilted Stratum Process (QSP). It consists in thermoforming thermoplastic composite parts made of long fiber laminate sheets, then overmolding structural elements (injection reinforced by short fibers). A crucial element for the sizing of the parts is the behavior of the interface between the long fiber and short fiber zones. In this work, experimental tests usually used to characterize delamination and bonded joints were adapted to characterize the long fiber/short fiber junction. The aim is to identify the critical strain energy release rate and to provide material data for a numerical cohesive zone model.
