Ajouter au calendrierDigital twins in various fields including railway infrastructures: state of the art, needs, synergies.
CentraleSupélec | Université Paris-Saclay and the Laboratory of Mechanics Paris-Saclay have the great pleasure to welcome Prof. Karen Willcox.
Prof. Willcox is the director of the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, an associate vice president for research, and a professor of aerospace engineering and engineering mechanics at The University of Texas (UT) at Austin.
During her stay at CentraleSupélec, Prof. Willcox will deliver the introductory lecture of the 4th seminar of the Paris-Saclay Institute for Sustainable and Digitized Railway Infrastructures. This seminar will introduce digital twins in various fields including railway infrastructures, focussing on the state of the art, current and future needs, as well as on synergies between scientific domains, academia, and industry.
Prof. Willow will present research gaps and future directions for digital twins, a topic she recently brought to the highest level serving as chair of the Committee on foundational research gaps and future directions for digital twins for the US National Academies of Sciences.
